Anyone got one? We live in house which is ooooooold, mostly around 400 years but some bits older. So not sure how old floor is, whih on refelction may be a good thing, if it survived all of that it can preseumably survive my cleaning.

Anyway, have been mopping it just in boiling water with dash of washing up liquid, when suddenyl panicked was doing wrong thing and would damage floor. Would anyone use anythign else?

Friend who lives in v old farm just scrubs with any old cleaner, I think. Flagstones are fairly indestructible!

we've got flagstones - and we just hoover them (ocassionally). they're positively marvellous for not showing up the muck. apparently oil will stain - but I'm sure they can't have survived 400 years without getting a bit of oil spilled on them. marks just add to their character.

my kind of answer hatwoman, thank you!
