Curtains!

We've just bought a property near Cheltenham and wondered if anyone could offer advice regarding curtains. We are completely renovating the cottage and could do with not paying John Lewis prices on 10 pairs of curtains of varying sizes. Any tips re:a good person/shop to know would be really appreciated. I'm new to mumsnet, so if it tells you I don't have kids, I most certainly do - it's my technical ability at fault. Hence, i can't make my own curtains. The shame!

Cotswold Fabric Warehouse in Cheltenham has a good range of fabrics - not good at giving any discounts for bulk buys, though. There are quite a lot of people around locally who can make curtains. My own computer ability is limited, but it looks like you could contact me via this site if you would like to discuss this further.

If you want ready-made, Dunelm Mill in Gloucester is ok.

I recently bought ready-made gingham curtains, which co-ordinate with the gingham bed linen, for our boys bedroom and they are really nice. They have loads of different colours to choose from - not just navy blue!

Could you manage with blinds in any room? Hilarys- on line- do some that are cheap ish- I got a wooden one from them and it was much cheaper than JL_ not the "real wood" but real wood painted to look like oak, ash, whatever.
