Is there ANY way to get rid of, or at least mask, the smell of stale fag smoke?

I usually smoke outside, but had friends for dinner a couple of nights ago, and as DD was away and it was raining, we had a few clandestine cigs in the cellar.

It still smells a bit - not full on smoke, but that stale after-pong (yeuch), and my landlord wants to come round tomorrow

I know it's my own fault for dabbling with the vile sticks of sin in the first place, but does anyone have any ideas?

(I will of course be baking a lemon drizzle to coincide with his arrival)

white vinegar really helps. you can either dilute it with water in a spray bottle and squirt it around the room or place a couple of small bowls of vinegar in the room overnight. the room might smell a bit vinegary in the morning but take the bowls away and the smell will quickly disperse leaving the room just smelling fresh.

Luckily he cancelled today, but will definitely try the vinegar thing anyway. Presuamably good for smelliness generally?
