Hi, the inside of my washing machine really smells awful. I have given it a maintenance clean on a vey high temperature & cleaned out the detergent dispenser. Is there anything that I can do to freshen it up? Thankyou any tips greatly appreciated

I find that a) making sure that the door seal has had a really good clean and b) putting a couple of dishwasher tablets in and running a hot wash really help.

If all else fails, put a cup of bleach in and run the longest wash you have

I have the same thing and it smells like rotten eggs while the cycle is running! I have tried everything but the bleach - suppose it is worth a shot.

Is it safe to put bleach in the machine? would it corrode the inside. It sounds like a good idea but Im concerned it would ruin the machine

I read on another thread that it must be thin bleach.

I put some white vinegar in the drum and in the drawer and did a very hot wash.Seems to have worked well so far.
