I dont think you are meant to use detergent on showerproof jackets. You can get the right stuff from Snow n Rock, or most outdoor retailers. The tumble dryer activates the water repelancy(?). I have today picked up a can of Grangers Fabsil which I am told can just be sprayed onto a clean jacket and left to dry. Will have a go this weekend.
