how do I clean mattresses?

kitten problem...you can read the exploits in the pets section...but need to know how best to clean a mattress of kitten wee...I have one of those steam cleaners...shoucl I attack it with that?

I would wash it with hot soapy water and allow to dry thoroughly. I would also use a spray you get from the petshop to remove pet odours - if the kitten can still smell it they'll do it again!

I agree with MamaKaty - I'd give it a good wash, leave it outside to dry and then cover it in a really good mattress protector so that if it happens again your mattress won't get ruined.
