Melted Rubber Feet....

I brought my piano/keyboard from my mothers which had been stored in the loft (oven) and as she has not found my stand yet I had to put it straight down on my cream carpet.

I went to pick it off the floor and i have 5 lovely black circles on my floor.

Help?

I tried a myriad of things, baking powder, bicarbonate, laundry prewash (lol)... some of it sort of worked....but when I added water the water turns black so now stain is a rather large grey patch.

Still have 2 circles left to attack but daren't yet...

Vanish is worth a shot. But if it's melted rubber, don't apply any heat whatsoever and try a white eraser rubbed against the stain.

Ooo thanks WMMC I will pop out tomorrow and get some Vanish.

I'm so annoyed at myself, because i had it on my bed first and it left the mark there so stupid me thought it'd be a good idea to put it on the carpet!
