cleaning converse trainers

i have a pair of rather grubby white converse trainers - can you put them in the washer or does it kill them does anyone know please

they wash fine, if you have the coloured ones they can fade but you will be fine with the white ones. dont put then through on a hot wash as the fabric bit can shrink, a 30 wash will get then clean

I put Dh's white all stars in the wash and they came out ok.

We have quite a few pairs in our house and they all wash well in the machine. Usually put them in a pillowcase and wash with towels.

Have blue, green, pink red and cream and they are all fine

I think I'll give this a go as mine are quite grubby now too! Thanks for the advice.
