Electrolux Boss Cylinder cleaner problems

Model z1015 - gets very hot and cuts out. Bag is ok , hose not blocked any ideas before I chuck it ?

Sorry, no hints or tips.
Ours did that too. I palmed it off gave it to my mother before we emigrated. She put it in the holiday house so it doesn't get used as often.
I just did my hoovering in smaller bursts to let it cool down.
