Tortoise · 02/08/2009 17:47

Wolf! List is short!!!??!! I think not! My list would be tiny compared to that!

Lasagne is in the oven though.

And i made some honeycomb for the 1st time and it worked amazingly well and tasted great.

EustaciaVye · 02/08/2009 19:50

Hi All.

Busy day here.

Tort 0- how do you make honeycomb then?

Tortoise · 02/08/2009 20:05

EV It is soo soo easy .

A square baking tin 18cm
A little butter to grease tin
5 tablespoons caster sugar
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda.

1.Grease tin! Put the sugar and syrup into a saucepan over a medium heat. Bring the mixture to the boil, then let it simmer for 3-4 mins until it becomes golden brown.

  1. Take the pan off the heat, add the bicarb and mix in with a wooden spoon. When the mixture froths up, pour it into the baking tin right away.
  1. When the mixture has cooled, turn it out onto a chopping board and break into bite size pieces.
  1. You can dip pieces into melted choc if you like! Leave to set on grease proof paper.

ENJOY

Wolfcub · 02/08/2009 21:12

Tort we are very fortunate in where we live - it is so bautiful and diverse, but it has one of the highest unemployment rates in the UK.

We came back from the South East to let our boys experiance the beauty and joy of this area. There is so much to do and see that doesnt cost the earth.
