I love method granite cleaner and Nilglass (from Lakeland).

Anyone else found anything they really would recommend?

Method bathroom cleaner - love the fresh smell of it

DidEinsteinsMum · 29/07/2009 21:55

Rubber gloves- essential kit with boys that and vanish stuff. nothing glamerous though

K999 · 29/07/2009 21:57

Baby wipes - they are magic for removing stains on fabrics....and wood...and surfaces....everything....and they are also good for very shitty bums!

fairybubbles · 29/07/2009 21:58

dettol, flash bathroom, flash kitchen, a good cloth, my mop, and my steam cleaner!

nothing fancy tbh.

wasabipeanut · 29/07/2009 22:00

Method for me too - love the lavender cleaner for the kitchen and the bathroom eucalyptus/mint ones.

TheWolf · 29/07/2009 22:01

Stardrops - for pretty much everything.

Bloody marvellous stuff.

Cif for getting marks off the walls - not an exciting one either.

Flash bathroom smells lovely .

raindroprhyme · 29/07/2009 22:21

Just discovered dettol spray and mop.
Love it with my microfibre floor mop. With a dog and 2 boys takes 2 mins to mop floor chuck mop head in washing machine hey presto pristine floors.

kwaker5 · 30/07/2009 21:36

We use Ecover for pretty much everything but I am still rather partial to a good slug of bleach in the loo!

shergar · 31/07/2009 11:29

Magic Eraser is literally like magic. Nothing it can't get off anything really, including all manner of pen marks anywhere (leather sofa, walls etc.!). Also Quickshine Descaler bags are just brilliant.

becstarlitsea · 31/07/2009 11:39

Since you all know your onions - does anyone know a laundry stain remover that works? (have tried Vanish and Asda own brand and neither seem to make any difference to the constant stains all over DSs clothes - usually food/grass stain/blood stain/paints)

Lovesdogsandcats · 31/07/2009 12:12

Recipe for home made cleaner please terramum!

crankytwanky · 31/07/2009 12:17

What janeite said.

Lovesdogsandcats - 'recipe' for you:

Put 1/2 cup baking soda in a bowl and add enough washing up liquid to make something resembling icing. Use a big bowl it expands somewhat . Great fun for kids!

When you've got the right consistency add about a teaspoon of glycerin (to stop it setting) and decant into a storage container with a tight fitting lid. I have mine in 2 old playdoh pots - one for the kitchen & the other in the bathroom

To use just put a little on a damp sponge and scrub away, rinsing afterwards. Brings up sinks, baths & tiles lovely
