... it's only about 18 months old.

I guess maybe it has some water trapped in it but if i don't get the clothes out within an hour of the wash finsihing they smell revolting.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

You need to run it on hot with powder in but nothing else in.

You also need to remove the drawer and wash it and wipe round the seals with bleachy water.

Finally you need to locate the drain (usually a flap on bottom right) and remove the detritus from the trap - normally these pull out or unscrew - you will find grey stuff in there - throw it away.

do you use liquid or gel?
I had this prob, switched to powder tabs and no probs ever again

(check old threads)_

thanks for that wwmmc - I really should know this stuff at the age of 33 shouldn't I?

CD - I use those squidgy gel tablet things that you bung in the drum.

You could run a hot wash through with no clothes in there, putting a couple of cups of Soda Crystals in the drawer or drum. Great for shifting greasy deposits

run a hot wash with vinegar
or with bio detergent if you use nonbio normally
