Sob! Wasn't concentrating and put my daughter's beautiful blue silk monsoon dress in vanish!

Went to hand wash it and try and get raspberry juice stains out, wasn't thinking and put oxi-vanish powder in water instead of persil non-bio and the silk part has gone from a beautiful blue to a very dirty grey blue. It looks terrible. Is there any hope?!?

Very upset cos she loves the dress, I love the dress and it was a bargain. Was £60 and I bought it for £18.

Sympathy or suggestions welcome!

Oh noooooooooo- sympathy from me anyway! No suggestions as I know nowt about dealing with fabrics - would it dye at all? (That's probably a daft suggestion but it's the only one that comes to mind, sorry)

Dying it was the only thing that sprung to mind! Sympathy appreciated!

Having googled a wee bit it looks like silk can be dyed

Good luck!

the silk will dye, esp if you go for a blue again, but if it's not all silk the different fabrics may go different shades...
