Blood on a cream carpet? Help!!

DD had a nosebleed yesterday and blood is all over carpet in upstairs hall, her room and brother's room!! (obviously it didn't happen downstairs where it is all wooden floors....)

Any idea how to get it out? Tried 1001 stain remover spray and it still looks bad (all brown now) So tried vanish spray (kind used for laundry) which has worked a bit better....but any other ideas useful?
Even if for future reference?

Have VIP visitor coming on wednesday so is kind of urgent - for my childminding registration, so blood on carpet is not ideal!

ACE bleach makes blood fizz away... you can watch it go, what about applying that (maybe with a syringe) to those areas that are dirty!

Biological washing powder.

Make a paste of it, rub it in then when it's dry hoover up the powder.

old fashioned soap flakes - or any pure vegetable soap.

rub it in damp and leave for a while and then rub/rinse off.

I use Marseille soap.

thank you all for your suggestions.
Once it was dry, did not look so bad.But will use other suggestions in future, specifically will deal with it when dry instead ig brown of having brown splodges!

Thank you!
