How can I get paint off my jacket

Have got kids paint on my nice jacket - its cotton - any wise ideas?

I find that neat washing up liquid rubbed into the stain will often break down the paint. Then pop it into the washing machine with your usual soap powder and hopefully, the stain will disappear.
