Ok have used this stuff before with a front loader and it was ok. Double checked the instructions as currently have access to top loader on and it says:

Best used in front loader, do not use in a laundrete machine.

SO what will happen if i use it in a top loader and do i need to do anything different so that the dye clears properally. My mother will kill me if I damage her machine so really need to be sure ok before I get going.

Help and is greatly appreciated.

It means don't use it in a launderette.

Just dye the clothes as per the instructions and then run an empty load with detergent or add old towels to it.

If you are dyeing to a dark colour make sure the next wash or two is dark washing.
