Can the council come and sort it?

Ours refer you to a private firm , cost about £35 a few years back.

We bought that spray stuff and did it ourselves. We had previously paid the council a year earlier to get rid of one and we discovered the new one on a bank holiday weekend. We weren't prepared to keep 2 young boys out of the garden while we waited for them to come.

It is just a spray can, you wait till the wasps are in the nest (like dusk) and then at arms length (DH did ours) you spray into the hole you have seen them flying into (their front door) and spray and spray until you feel your nerve give out then you dive inside the house

Worked a treat. No wasps came out, we are assuming they all died in their sleep all peaceful. It is just the same as the council did.

You can get the spray from any DIY store, we got ours from B&Q about £4 methinks.

sorry, forgot to say you can spray from about 2-3 metres away so you don't have to have your face anywhere near it.
