I have a kaiser babylamm which I have washed before in 30 degree wool cyle in the machine. This time I think I may have put it in 30 degrees but not the wool option iyswim...anyway the wool bit is fine and nice and clean and soft - but the reverse has gone all stiff. I didn't use any fabric conditioner - should I rewash it with conditioner or ? - many thanks

hi janx. It's probably more to do with how it was dried than how it was washed. If they dry too quickly near heat the backs goes stiff as cardboard.

wash again on wool cycle with no detergent (and in future get hold of some soap flakes which wont strip the wool's natural oils, I think Boots still sells them, they look marvelously old fashioned) and then dry as slowly as you can, giving it a wee fluff up now and again!

good luck
