Help - funny smell !

I have just cleaned out a room and inspite of scrubbing and polishing, it still has a greasy teenage bedroomy smell.

It is part of an annexe which was finished just a year ago and the smell may be related to new plaster/paint but I would have thought it would be gone after a year.

The floor is half lino and half carpet.

Can anyone give me any tips?

Lino can sometimes have a funny smell. Try an ioniser in the room or a plug in smell thingoid. Ambi-Pur are quite nice.

I read somewhere that unidentified plasticy/burning/fishy smells are caused by the light fitting singing.
