I need a push to get the washing up bowl out and ditch the dishwasher, which I use at least once a day.

Anyone know...

• how much water a dishwasher uses?
• how much it costs to run each time?

I have eco, normal and power washes but usually stick to normal as eco doesnt wash properly.

a full dishwasher is better for the environment than washing by hand even on a normal wash

I reckon a full dishwasher much better than washing up all day, too.

couldnt do without my dishwasher tried it and the dishes were just not clean and the cups has all that staining to them you can only get out with bleach or salt etc> boak i am veggie though

Read that dishwashers use less water than hand dish washing. Have ours on once a day (I'm expert at cramming it full) Dishes much cleaner in machine and they have been sterilised by steam and boiling water you couldn't stand on your hands.
