Help! Saucepan stuck inside another pan!

Another cry for help! I have managed to get my lovely stainless steel Le Creuset pan wedged inside another rubbish pan of the same side. How the hell do I get it out? I have poured sunflower oil all round the inner pan but no luck so far. The outer pan could be sacrificed if necessary, but the inner one must survive!

have you tried dropping them from a height onto a carpetted floor (rim down) the inertia of it should loosed them, have done it with glass bowls successfully but not sure about the pan handle getting in the way.....

sit the bottom one in boiling water?

Try sticking it in the freezer- it may shrink the metal enough to get it off? Good luck

What Greensleeves says plus something cold in the inner one?

Ooh, good ideas thank you! Maybe I can fill the middle one with ice and then boil the outer one or hairdryer it. Was worried though that they would both expand if I tried it though.

Washing up bowl of hot water

Put in pans

Fill middle pan with cold water

wait a few minutes - pour away (not into washing up bowl) then try to separate

Repeat as necessary
