I have a cleaner coming tomorrow for 8 hours! I am soooo excited as I feel the house is getting on top off me and I just want a fresh start. She is only coming once. I am currently creating a list of things for her to do ..... any suggestions? I don't want to miss something and regret it later.

All suggestions welcome! thanks

We had one recently. Make sure you warn her to 'look up' - we have tons of spiders she missed because she was too busy being horrified at the state of the floor

wow, how cool. i'd love to have this.
i'd ask them to...
clean oven, skirting boards, dig out ALL the crap from under sofa and beds etc and hoover there, properly clean the highchairs, strip all the beds

how much does a deep clean cost if you dont mind me asking??

fucksticks · 05/07/2009 20:23

clean mirrors! mine are all minging

rubyslippers · 05/07/2009 20:24

wet wash everything - skirting, windows etc

also, pull stuff out

dust light fittings, tops of wardrobes, corners

Mine is my new cleaner, I just said 'we'll have ten hours to start with then go down to six a week', which seems to be working mostly. We pay her £8.50 an hour so that's £85 for the deep clean bit.

Shelly75 · 05/07/2009 20:34

Mine is going to cost £90 for eight hours ..... they usually charge £12.50 an hour but it is cheeper for the whole day.

I didn't think £90 was too expensive to save my sanity!

i think you might have been better off doing 2 x 4 hours. i clean and after 4 hours of 'proper' cleaning it becomes much less effective.

millie1985 · 27/07/2009 12:16

i used karma klean and can highly recommend them. They only do one off cleans and charge per hr with a minimum of three hours. you can have a light medium or deep clean. They saved my sanity put it that way.

Report back once she's done I'm having mine done in september and want to know what I can expect TIA

poopscoop · 27/07/2009 13:53

agree with the 4 hour only clean. Much more than that and the cleaner will be knackered. Especially as not a pair of cleaners, just one on her own. Would be best to come twice ver 2 days.

LovingTheRain · 28/07/2009 19:37

How did it go Shelly?

Shelly75 How did you find the cleaner? Was it through an agency or something?? Would love to have someone come and do my place - well worth the £90!!
