Thanks prof and Buzzard. Perhaps an ailing industry is not such a good model lol. I have taken out my frustration by:

changing beds
laundry
taken ds out on his bike (that boy has no balance!)
tea
wash up
make sandwiches
ds homework
sort paper work
dc bath and clean bathroom
dc to bed.

Try again tomorrow.

Evening all
scatty sounds ridiculous, no wonder you lost it.
lbb I had same problem with master bedroom till I moved DS2 out ....could only do it when DS asleep, but then he was asleep in there was a tip for 15 months LOL

Hectic day. Been shoppinf for various essentiual bits and bobs...( new shoes DD4, shorts DS1, jewelery DD1 ...dont ask LOL...) took most of morning then home, quick lunch...DD4 to nursery, home, didnt do much...DS2 grumoy and not napping....back for school pick up...home
DH home early, which was lovely but always throws my evening routine...
Dinner done, bit of tidying....quite a lot still to tackle but cant face it...
Then seems hot water isnt working, so had to attempt to de-grime DC without a bath ( interesting as DS2 was especially covered in a mix of ice-cream,sand and general garden grim form head to toe lol!!)
I really wnated shower too...but hey!

So to help myself face tomorrow a quick list...
Pack DS1 scout camp bag
laundry reboot
clean washing away
ring heating servicing people re hot water...
bedrrom tidy - mine, and dc...
Hoover throughout
Mop floors
check calendar
on-line banking

could be a busy one, heres hoping for happy co-operative children (or for a magically appearing childminder to entertain them for a few hours LOL!)

Really should go do something useful ...may go and run the hot tap again in the futile hope the water mey have started heating up....
tomorrow ladies

Evening all.
Had sports day at primary this morning. Luckily Unfortunately rained off after an hour and a half!

DD1 has come home with a very sore, gunky eye which i presume is conjunctivitis. Will see how it looks in the morning then take her to the Dr.
DD2 has been saying she feels sick and tummy hurts on and off since late last night. No sign of tummy upset so i am wondering if it is down to the thread worm medicine. She is OK in her self, slightly off food. She was fine at school today. Will have to see how she is over night too.

Am also quite excited to have had an email on dating site which i repied to and have now had quite a long reply back.

Will be back sometime tomorrow depending on how many kids are home!

Scatty, one of my friends at school works as an long experienced A & E nurse some nights and weekends, and says the managers drive her absolutely nuts. You must be shattered having to deal with all this, and trying to do your best for the patients.

Boring things done (which pale into insignificance)
dh (still at home with bad back after milk bottle incident)pointed out two large piles of videos to give to charity shop [hurrah] and I gave away several balls of wool and books

dcs very hot after school but we had a calm evening wth nice pasta
vp ds1
homework with ds1 done
two suppers

LBB glad yest's meetup was a success

Tort, think sometimes their tummies hurt when they have a virus, even if not stomach upset, think it is glands fighting illness.

Bb tomorrow, going back to duties now

Tortoise · 25/06/2009 22:42

Update!
DD1 just came down, eye stuck together, other one now gunky!
DD2 followed having just been sick! Luckily she took a bowl to bed and used it.

Looks like i am in for a good night!!!

scattyspice Try asking him to walk around the room with a book balanced on his head and see if it makes any difference! Ah, you see, in my day that's what passed for entertainment!

tort I've previewed so I'm trying to remember your post fully and I'm failing miserably. I hope your dd feels better in the morning and good luck with the dating! How about giving your thumb-sucking dd that little bottle of no water soap type stuff you can buy in chemists and the supermarket so that she cleans her hands when out and about before she sucks her thumb? Perhaps it's not practical to carry it around all the time but sometimes alone might help?

swanriver I gave away a good bit of stuff yesterday and as it was for a good cause I found it much easier to part with it. I'm not working tomorrow so I hope to do more then.

Good news! Dh and I have found a bed we both like. Hopefully I'll be able to order it (and the mattress) tomorrow and it won't take too long to arrive. I need to buy new bedlinen too as we've not had a kingsize bed before.

To do list for tomorrow:-

~ order bed and mattress
~ order new bed linen
~ start decluttering the bits and pieces in the spare bedroom so we can get at the furniture we need to move back into our bedroom.
~ pull finger out re: campsites abroad as the hol will be here soon and we've not booked anything much as yet.
~ ring dsis (plural) re: furniture
~ ring lady re: piano
~ ring local furniture recycling place
~ ring to check re: file collection from office

See you tomorrow! Nos da pawb. Good night all.

SimplyIsATalentedBuzzard · 25/06/2009 22:58

Tort We x posted. Poor dds. Re: the bad tummy, if you think it may be the threadworm medicine then you can ask for tablets next time if your dd is able to swallow them.

Starbear · 25/06/2009 23:21

scattyspice Totally understand where your coming from with the senior managers at work. They are not in the real world. They just love ticking boxes, stats and making names for them selves, to get promotion, drives me nuts. I would carrying on doing what is morally right, just don't tell them about it. There are lots of loops. Hope your staff are your side. Anyway, that what I do. Stuff them. Oh! You got me going then.
Ds is at sis and very happy. Did alot of pottering around the garden, laundry & a bit of studying for assessment tomorrow!
Nursery have replied to my letter and have agreed that I don't have to pay for an extra month yippe!
Galen Tell me all about the passport saga, where are you, with that? When are you planning on travelling?
going to bed now with a book under my pillow
