DH had a cut on his forearm & it has bled onto our lovely cream duvet cover i have washed it once but the blood is still there.

What can i use to get it out without having to buy anything special?

Thanks.

Soaking in salty water gets blood out, but I have always done it before washing.

I thought this thread was going to be much more exciting!

Sorry, my eczema has bled all over our cream duvet a number of times and I've never really got it out, so let me know if you manage it...

My colleague had blood all over her clothes on tuesday and used hairspray sprayed through the back of the material, then washed as normal.
I told her to do that to get biro out which worked, she thought she would try it on the blood as well and it worked
