I have a miele cat and dog, it has a brush in the end that spins round and picks up cat hair - it was v pricey but whenever anybody else uses it they always comment on how great it is and 10 years on it's still going strong. TBH - the best thing i ever did was get rid of all my carpets and have wood or laminate floor in every room. You can wipe up sick and the hairs have nowhere to hide.

Another miele cat and dog vote (hated the Dyson btw)

id love just wood or laminate but its a rented house.

Miele cat and dog - vote number 3!

GoodWitchGlinda · 08/06/2009 13:11

miele cat and dog vote 4.

I asked about this a while ago and have since bought a miele cat and dog and it is AMAZING, life-changing even!

I have a VERY long-haired dog and we filled a bag on the first go with dog hair that the old vac had left behind . But the miele leaves NOTHING behind. Worth every penny. My house feels so clean now . You won't be disappointed.

Top-tip - the spinny brush thing will pick up so much hair that it will get rolled up around the brush, so you will need to cut this off regularly so that it doesn't clog it up (and believe me, you will feel the fear of it breaking once you see how good it is! Extended warrantee is a good idea ).

Miele Cat and Dog - its fab and just runs and runs...

audley · 16/06/2009 19:24

Glad you've ordered one, I've had mine 3 years and it's just about the best householdy gismo I've bought. It's exciting everytime I realise it needs a new bag because the power of it surprises me all over again!

iMum · 16/06/2009 19:26

Sebo, after recommendations from here-Sebo is deffo the way to go it copes fantastically with my goldie who sheds soooo much!

wotulookinat · 16/06/2009 19:31

We have the Dyson pet and it is rubbish. Complete waste of money.

cheesesarnie · 19/06/2009 18:51

audley-did you find your bag filled up quickly first time?(or was my carpet really dirty?)
