Please help, paint related emergency!

Does anyone know how to get bright pink paint out of a cream carpet? I was painting my DD bedroom and my DS accidentily knocked the paint pot over and it has gone everywhere! I have scrubbed for an hour with 1001 carpet cleaner which has helped but it is still very pink, any suggestions? My landlord will go nuts if I cant sort it out!

What type of paint is it?

It is matt emulsion for normal walls but it is just so pink!

I asked my DP. He doesn't think you will be able to get it out, due to it being emulsion. However, is it a hessian backed carpet, or foam backed? (DP is dictating to me )

Lol I think it is foam backed (just asked my DH!) or is there anything to dull down the colour abit? It really is bright pink.

Mop up as much as possible with kitchen towel. Spread some Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion over it, leave if for at least 2 hours, then it will be disolved, and will scrape off easily.

No, I don't know why that works either but apparently it does.

Ok I will try the lotion as long as it doesn't make even more of a mess?! Or does anyone know of anything else to try in case it doesn't work?

Methylated spirit is your last line of defence (and will also remove any leftover grease stains if there are any).
