Help help HELP! Please!

My [beloved] washing machine has stopped midcycle, is flashing and beeping all over the place. There is still water in the drum and nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions before I call someone out?

hi mumblecrumble, mine did that a few weeks ago and i had to pull it out tip it back which was bloody heavy whilst filled with water and clothes! and pull the filter out it was jammed with all sorts of things!!! once i put it back on it just finished the cycle as normal,
maybe its that, hope it helps

hmmmm....... [mumble crumble remembers naughty baby putting salad in the washing amchine last week and wonders....]

Will try that at the weekend when DH is around to help.

I found a lovely man who has retreived the nappy liners from my pump, repaired and charged me very little.

I have done 4 loads today to celebrate and the house looks lovely with its laudry buntin....
