How do I remove highlighter pen from fabric?

Hello everyone, any idea of how I can remove a highlighter pen stain from my DS brand new shorts? It was worn only once and my LO got hold of a pen and I am struggling to get rid of the stain. Heeeelp :-)

I would love to know my DD uses highlighters to do wrodsearches and has fallen alseep on one and dyed her sheets and pjs'

What about Dylon stain remover? It worked with whiteboard pen on my DD's school summer dress. It took a lot, though, and a lot of scrubbing.
