Good for you Galen. Have the lovely time you deserve .

Simply · 29/05/2009 19:24

Thanks lbb. I've now moved ds' and dd's chest of drawers (with contents) to the spare bedroom so that they can still get to their clothes and I've now only got two items of furniture in each of their rooms. Dh can help me on Sun to move their computer desks if the new floor is going down next week. We'll let them keep a bed to sleep on until the last minute!

galen G&T sounds just lovely! Enjoy your break. I had to work sometimes in the summer hols whilst dh took ds and dd away. Ds didn't mind but dd didn't like it the first couple of times. She now goes on trips and hols without me with barely a goodbye (but then she is 14!)

If anyone wants to see my ds, he's the second from the right in the front row in the choirs which are wearing black shirts.

they are the first choir and the conductress is wearing green

the pianist is wearing green, the conductress is wearing red

swanriver · 29/05/2009 20:25

Wow Simply just tuned into the choirboys! I want my ds to turn out like that (he sings in a choir but he's only 9)
Is that traditional 19th or 20th century? What is the song about? only understood the falalalas?

Galen,just enjoy your break.

TMH your boys must have had a lovely day - I mean it. It's not the end of the world if there are a few garage contents scattered around.
Scatty, you are a heroine to have struggled through playdate with sick ds.
Littleboy - very efficient to do labelling

We have had a lovely unplanned see how it turns out day. Lots of garden playing and general romping with their friends. Dh has made the children do a 15 min room rescue on both playroom and frontroom, so not so bad either.
Admittedly all made much easier by Chinese Takeaway which dh demanded, although I did give them some HEALTHY sandwiches at 5.30.
No tantrums either - hurrah hurrah.

evening All

I am exhausted, up at 5.15 at work by 7.15, only just got home. On top of which I had to deal with the coven of bitches at work I am fed up and I have had enough.

Plus the house is a tip and I have a really lousy cold so I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself. The only thing to cheer me up today was an email from grouchy!

Anyway I thought I'd rant to you lot because you are the exact opposite of the coven and I love y'all.

Off to get drunk now in front of TV. Hopefully I will be here in a more productive more FLY mood tomorrow.

TheMadHouse · 29/05/2009 21:33

Wolf Why are this coven attacking you - I will get them I will. One thing I dint miss from work is the bloody office politics and the gossiping. The rumour going round when I was preg with DS1 was that I had cancer!

I am leaving the garage till sunday morning now. We didnt put the boys to bed till 8.10, so hope they sleep

See you all tomorrow

Wolfcub · 29/05/2009 21:44

mad they don't like a new woman senior to them coming into the team (actually they don;'t like any woman coming into the team) and they think they rule the roost. There has been talk of sabotage etc etc so that I fail to meet my objectives (and therefore get disciplined or sacked) or so they don't have to do what me or my manager want them to do. They are also just downright bloody rude, including not even turning to look at me or speak to me when I am stood right next to them saying blah blah blah x blah blah (could be as simple as goodnight x I'll see you tomorrow).

The rest of the team are great - if a little nutso in places.

Simply · 29/05/2009 22:28

swanriver I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think the first one is about a young man who wants to better himself in order to be an attractive proposition for a young lady and he's a farmer in North Wales. It sounds very old fashioned in a "I can provide for her" type of way. The second one I can't follow very well at all, sorry. Apart from occasional words, I only really understand the falalalalas too!

Wolfcub The work situation sounds awful. Can it be reported to HR or a senior manager?

TMH I hope you all get a good sleep tonight.

See you tomorrow!

littleboyblue · 30/05/2009 07:36

Morning ladies. How are we all today?
Not sure what the plan is here, but
DONE
Sterilised bottles
Washed up from last night
Wiped kitchen counters
Washed and dressed ds2
Me and ds1 had breakfast
Folded dry washing
Put load in washing machine
Hit kitchen hotspot
Hung wet washing

TO DO
Wash and dress ds2
Wash and dress self
Clean bathroom
Mop bathroom and hall floor
Todays 5 min room rescue will be living room
Empty and soak nappy wrapper
Take rubbish out
Get down to children's centre and help them unpack the room for group tomorrow
Get to tescos
Spend some one on one time and individual time with ds's

Think that'll do for today.
Dp's going out this afternoon and won't be back til tomorrow, so not sure what to do later. A friend invited me and ds's round to his house for a bbq, but don't know if I can be bothered with all that!
Lovely weather here again, hope it is for all of you. Have a great day
