Morning Mad Sorry you've been up so early today. Horrible isn't it? Ten to 6 for me this morning, so not too bad
is a 5 minute room rescue just a quick tidy away? Or does it cove dusting, hoovering etc?

TheMadHouse · 28/05/2009 08:12

Morning LBB it is just 5 mins spend cleaning a room. So it depends on the state of the room

Well being up super early I have done:

Wasing on and hung out
S&S bathrooms x 2
Hoovered upstairs
Sorted through leapster games - we just won some more on e-bay, best ever present DS1 got. So much so I have bought a second hand leaspter 1 for DS2

To Do

Consultant meeting
Ironing
Whats for lunch and dinner
Aldi shop
Put ironing away
2 x hotspots
3 x room rescues
sort paper plate crafts to do with the boys

Right off to sort breakfast. BBL

Morning early birds
I managed Tesco last night came home with a migraine - I hate that place too!!! Decided the £10 off £30 vouchers just aren't worth wasting an evening and getting a migraine for!!! Because of course I spent £60 not £30 not on anything very useful. Did get the Father's Day gifts and some shorts for DS which were needed I suppose!
DH is also in bed with a migraine - strange - and is off work.
I have had FIL on the phone several times with computer problems so he'll be round there when he surfaces.
DC watching TV again - this hols is turning into TV watching!! They have watched a couple of hours every morning must get my act together!

To do
Baking - cake, biscuits, bread
Garden centre (snails ate a broad bean plant last night and some of another cauliflower plant ARGH!)
Work in greenhouse transplanting
Washing
Sweep floors
Room rescues
Sort out the study it is still piled high!
What's for lunch and dinner

BBL

swanriver · 28/05/2009 09:36

Oh dear TPF. The window of opportunity is very limited isn't it, the only failsafe is Sat morning telly really or school.

littleboyblue · 28/05/2009 09:39

Thanks all re room rescues. Flat isn't too bad so should manage to at least hoover the middle of the floor!
Today I want to change ds1's bed, hoover his matress and wipe down his toys.
I'm off to tescos in a bit, have been looking on the recipes page and have spotted a potato and ham bake I fancy having a go at.
Not sure if I'll be around later, might meet friend at park.
Have a good day.
Oh, I have got us all fed, washed and rdressed, have done washing up and bottles, have cleaned bathroom and moped bathroom floor and hallway floor.

gibbberish · 28/05/2009 09:39

Morning all!

I'm impressed by all you early birds getting so much done before even 9am!

I'm on day 9 today and I'm starting to get together my control journal (boy do I need one!).

Doing babysteps and mission today plus deep clean of kitchen.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 28/05/2009 09:47

sorry about my drunken post last night..
Morning all! house clean and tidy except for dining room going to try to tackle it today once I have been to the hairdressers.

No boys until this afternoon, they have been with my sister overnight

Hope everyone is well and having a good chilled half term

swanriver · 28/05/2009 10:02

Children are playing monopoly unattended but refuse to go in garden as there are "bees" there
recycling DONE
going to check on snail factor here now

littleboyblue · 28/05/2009 10:52

That's the reason I don't like being outside swan or why I don't like having the windows open! Am being brave though and dp's uncle showed me a great way of trapping spiders, wasps and any other bug that finds it's way into house with a matchbox. The man is pure genius!
Dil I think we started on the same day didn't we? I must have missed a day because I'm not on the missions yet. Is it working out well for you? I'm quite enjoying it actually, it's great that it ha made me think of cleaning in blocks of 2/5/15 mins which means I can spread it out and find more suitable time with the dc's (their moods permitting of course )

TheMadHouse · 28/05/2009 11:21

Morning all

Greyskull You are allowed drunken ramblings you know, espically when your cakes are so wonderful - wish you lived closer then I could have some bears.

gibbberish · 28/05/2009 14:29

Hello and welcome epimum (why did I feel like a chat show host when I said that?) Very nice to have you with us

prof could you lend dd1 to me please? I could do with a life of celibacy...

mad Glad the visit to doc was so positive and productive. Here's hoping you get all the support you need and deserve now.

Am feeling a gloating moment coming on....

I HAVE FINISHED CLEARING OUT EVERY DRATTED CUPBOARD IN THIS ENTIRE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

What do I do now then eh?

Off to the bank for dh then will think about what my next 'assignment' should be. Suppose I could tackle the ironing

swanriver · 28/05/2009 15:15

So far on a positive note

have taken dcs to park for long bicycle ride and read them greek myths
made jelly with dd
made a tasty potato cheese pesto and bsqsh bake which was enjoyed
dd is making a leaf book self initiated
ds2 has gone for a playdate looking cool self initiated
ds1 hs spent morning listening to music and is now reading a colour cookbook so he can decide what to give his friends on Sunday for tea
telly is still off since 9.30

On a negative note
house is very very messy, and I still haven't cleared up kitchen
there has been a lot of bickering between dcs if they are same room so trying to avoid this...and dd's voice is at a perpetual reproach setting

need another cup of coffee I think

Gibb you are totally ahead of the game here, why do we let you on this thread at all is it to give us hope?

TMH hope the little ones conked out for some quiet time now, or at least lying low. It is such a mountain to climb, but you've started on the road.

Hello Epimum,

think I'm just going to set myself one goal now, which is to

sweep the front garden for ten minutes

MaggieTulliver · 28/05/2009 15:19

have had lovely day but house is a mess again.

DH away next week so plan to get back on to fly wagon when he is gone and dd1 is at school.

gibbberish · 28/05/2009 15:47

lol swan Am not usually ahead of the game. And the only reason I am is because I have practically neglected my children for the past two weeks

Been reading your list and it sounds very impressive, esp the greek myths and leaf book! My dds are on the wii fit atm...

Mind you dd1 and dd4 have written a play piece today about why you shouldn't fight to solve problems and were rehearsing it. They were all face painting one another earlier and dd3 made me a paper camera as a reward for cleaning out the utility room So although they have been almost ignored by me they have been making wise use of their time!

dd1 has had a bit of a strop because she has a skirt that needs to be sewn and she wants to wear it tonight. dd2 can sew but is refusing to do it. Have told dd1 I will show her what to do (she does already know but is claiming ignorance) then she can get on with it. But she is Not Happy. Wants someone else to do it for her, lazy madam.

I am being a Bad Mother. Have been reading my book in the garden for half an hour with my ear plugs in so can't hear my delightful children... Someone needs to call ss!
