Back from long morning outing which started with dentist for dd (very good girl)moved onto rainy walk with screaming dcs, then rapid fast forward to local hist museum with entranced dcs being bossed around by Victorian housekeeper who kept telling them to stop whinging and beat carpets!(all completely unplanned just a lucky break I guess) rounded off by another rainy walk home.
Now we are going swimming to meet a friend.
Galen, witnessing was a big headache, but if I had looked at small print I would have seen that the witness does not have to know you for a long time, just be a reliable one. So priest would do, or accountant or solicitor, even if known only for a few years. I chose dr which was disaster timewise because he insisted on seeing us (including dh)all simulanteously, couldn't find any appointments for weeks, and practice charged a fortune per witness statement(although he's a very nice man and had known us for ten years which I thought was what was required)
Anyway enough babbling, what about headmaster of dh's or dcs' school, would he or her do? And also the witness has to give a landline for their phone no, not a mobile.
Good luck with it.
To do later
make beds
hoover livingroom and playroom
tidy drawers (still)
send an important letter to someone
supper - leftovers and veg
Enjoy Tropical World Wendy, my alley looks like a rainforest, well apart from mops and e-cloths festoooning line that is.
