Just discovered 2 maggots in my upstairs hallway.
Put me right off my crisps I can tell you.
Got them outside. There has been two more since them. Where are they coming from? DH suggests a dead bird or mouse in the attic or wall cavity. (he is at work, unhelpfully)
What am I going to do?
Am I going to spend all night on maggot watch?
Any advice please!!!!

Do you have birds nesting? Perhaps they could have dropped them when flying back to feed young?
Can I have them for my lizard please?

seriouscase · 22/05/2009 19:33

certainly, if you want to sit at the top of my stairs and catch the wee buggers

I think I have found the possible cause - a boiled egg from Easter which had fallen down the back of a bookcase
Fingers crossed there are no more of the horrible blighters!

At least you found the source, seriouscase. We had a horrible similar thing happen with a cracked egg in the kitchen which popped.... It grossed everyone out except the lizard.

Maggot count - nil. Yay! Never thought I'd be typing that. They make me scream - double scream when they are in my house!! I told DH to take an hour off work and come home to sort it out. He said no. So I was brave and got rid of them myself.
