get rid of sticky labels? You know, the sort which you can scrub at all afternoon with hot soapy water but never come off. I know there are some solvernts that you can buy, but I need to do it quickly and I can't go out now.

white spirit? Meths?

LittleMissNorty · 21/05/2009 17:21

nail varnish remover

Sometimes nail polish remover works. But careful to test a bit first on what you're using it on; you don't want to do more harm than good. It can sort of melt some plastics.

Wd40, let it soak in and then wipe off with kitchen roll.

Use a scraper for stubborn bits.
