Oven cleaning whilst being a horsey clip clop

What is the best way you have found to clean your oven? I don't want to pay anyone!

Do you have any good techniques as i've tried elbow grease whilst multi tasking with two small kids having a wail of a time mounting me and blowing rasberries on my behind, but it still has tar like residue on.

Scrape it off with a wallpaper scraper

lakeland and kleeneze sell 'ovenmate' which is fab literally paint on a clear gel, leave for the rest of the day and wipe off effortlessly with kitchen paper.

Tis a miracle, no mess, no smell, no nothing except a nice clean oven. Don''t know how it works, but it does

It's true, ovenmate is miraculous. Costs a bit (£7 maybe?) but worth it!

One of the best products and cheapest that I've been recommended is Astonish Oven Cleaner - it costs about 89p from Wilkinsons and comes in a small blue tub. use it with a micro-cloth also known as eco-cloths. try not to use too much product though otherwise you will be rinsing it off for hours!!!

Ovenpride is good. I've also found that a 'penguin' type steam cleaner will melt off the goo and enable you to wipe it off.
