What's in the paste everyone says to use to clean grout?

Is it bicarb or baking powder? Did a search and different people are saying different ingreients so am v confused

I don't know for sure but would imagine it's bicarb as that is the usual cleaning ingredient suggested - have never heard of baking powder being used for cleaning, it's only a raising agent!

Its baking SODA and white vinegar. Although I have to confess that in the bathroom I used domestos grot and that works fanstastically but I only used it because I had become lazy and let the soap scum build up

Am now trying to keep on top of it all.

baking soda is in fact sodium bicarb so that solves that problem. there you go.

Gosh no wonder I'm confused! Ok so I need either sodium bicarb OR Baking soda which are both the same thing. And what do I have to do, mix it with water (or vinegar?) to make a paste, put it on and leave it on for how long?

I normally use bleach neat and a toothbrush but the fumes give me a killer headache for days so going to try this out instead.
