how do I get the smell out of seashells?

We went to the seaside at the weekend and DC collected lots of shells. I have washed them with washing up liquid and they still pong! Any ideas how I can clean them to get rid of the smell? Thanks

hmm... try soaking them in bio detergent. That seems to work for most things..

Air them. Takes a while.
