washer dryer recommendations needed!

Our 11-yr-old Zanussi washer dryer has just died on me and I'll need to replace it asap. I hardly use the dryer - just now and then for towels or bedlinen - but I'd like a good powerful spinner without too much noise. Can anyone recommend theirs please?

We have a Bosch which, touch wood, has been reliable. I have a separate drier though, also a Bosch and it's great.

We've got a Zanussi washer/dryer with a 1600 spin which is very reliable. It's not too noisy.

Another not recommend - don't buy AEG. It's had a couple of major repairs already and we've only had it for about 5 years.

Repair guy says that AEG have really gone downhill since they became part of Electrolux/Zanussi group and they're just made with cheap Zanussi parts and you're just paying extra for the brand name.

Apparently, the group that he doesn't get called out for many repairs is Siemens/Bosch/Neff - so that's on my shopping list for when ours needs its next major repair (am refusing to throw any more money at it - could have bought a Miele at the outset with the money I've spent now).

(Oh, I've also just had to fork out £170 to repair my 4-year-old AEG double oven, too - so it seems crapness across the board, not just for washer/dryers).
