have a sort of open cupboard/shelve thing in front room and want something to put toys in. it will be on a step about skirt noard height so cant be on wheels or heavy if ds'd pull it off. thought of wicker but think it os too sharp plus the shelve will get all scrathched using them..

any ideas?

IKEA have some soft baskets - here - so, not heavy and shouldn't scratch your furniture.

Or these

We have these and they are good for small bits and bobs.

We have wicker ikea boxes which are pretty robust (only the one full of cars is in need of replacing after 5/6 years). We stuck little felt pads on the underside of them so that the boxes didn't scratch the shelves.

i didnt think about putting something on the bottom... its hard as ds1 is 3 and ds2 is only 6 months so toys are still quite big (ds1 only just starting to get into cars etc)

at the mo we have a large tox box from blooming marvellous which is great as fabric bbut too tall to put on the bottom shelf and dds1 couldnt reach into it if we did..

It's helpful if they can't get the boxes down themselves or they WILL get every box down and spread an even layer of toys across the entire living room carpet (including stuffed under the settee if they are anything like my boys!)

lol. at the moment he can only reach the bottom shelf so 2 boxes max!
