Ants!!!

They're coming up through my living room floor - it's not even near an exterior wall! Does anyone know of something I can put down to get rid of the ants that's ok with pets around? The ants seem to be eating the floor and wall!! And they're making my skin crawl!!

Raid is brilliant. Spray it all around the skirting boards and any crevices that seem to be 'pathways'. It competely deters them. Works for me anyway! And imagine it should be ok with other pets (as long as you spray with them out of the room and the windows open) as it dries completely.

'Other' pets?? Meant just pets - assuming the ants aren't your pets

I'm beginning to think maybe they should be!! I hate them, they just seem such dirty little animals!! (sorry, slightly irrational!!).

I know I know we had loads of ants last year and I wanted to avoid chemicals .. the best thing is to get the ants to take something back to the colony and wipe out the queen . So mix sugar and borax together and leave it out, no more ants in no time. Now who can help me with moths?

Hi, they have been discussing this on local radio, one person wrote a note to them suggesting where to go and how her children didnt like them. Seemingly it worked!! Another person was in Australia at the start of the year and they used lemon juice. HTH
