It is very difficult on rubber IME. Some kind of mould cleaner with hydrogen peroxide (most of them do but not all proprietary mould removers do so check ingredients) is your best bet but even though it kills it and removes the um fluffy bits, it can still leave the black spots. Let me know if you find something else that works.

The HG Mould Spray (you can get it in Homebase) is better than Dettol Mould and Mildew Remover IMHO...it got rid of some black spots in the sealant around the shower that nothing else would touch. Also for use on UPVC frames.

Grotbuster. Evacuate the house of young children and open windows before using it as it stinks to high heaven!

If its the sealant, take it off,or get DH to do this, and replace it.They make an anti-mould sealant now, which might work better.
That would work for the shower, but not for window frames though I guess.

Dilettante is absolutely right, this is the best thing ever for getting rid of mould. Make sure you open the bathroom window as far as it'll go and shut the bathroom door while it's working as it smells like mega-strong bleach, ugh. But it does shift all sorts of grot!

bleach
