Housesitting - a few questions

We're having our house housesat for 3 weeks while we go away. I was wondering do i need to leave the person with a full supply of things like dishwasher tabs, washing powder, tea, sugar etc. And if they run of these general household things should i offer to reimburse them or maybe leave them a kitty. They are getting £30 a day to do it already. I just don't know.

Any ideas on what she might expect? Thanks

Are you getting a company in to do it for you or is it a friend?

If it is a company you could always ring and ask them.

I would imagine that they're already getting paid and free accommodation they could provide their own general household things.

Perhaps leave some tea/coffee/milk/biscuits/bread for them. Perhaps leaving a couple of washing tabs with the instructions for the washing machine would be useful so they don't use the wrong sort or something.

If there is anything you don't want them to have perhaps leave it all in one or two cupboards with a on the inside of the door asking them not to use.

It's my dogwalker, so know her quite well
although we're not really friends.

Thanks for your suggestions, I think I will do as you said. Leave her with a starter pack of bread/tea/coffee etc and then just leave the cleaning products as is. If she runs out she can buy more from her own pocket.
