Breastmilk on leather sofa...

A problem that defines the typical MNer??!

So - have been sitting on a brown leather sofa to bf DS2 for the last few weeks. And when you look closely there's now quite a lot of evidence of excapee milk spray and a few milky vomit marks. Nice. Wipe with damp cloth / ecover spray / furniture polish hasn't made any difference. Any tips?

Baby wipes work a treat.

apparently johnstons wipes work the best

You'd be amazed what you can clean with a baby wipes - I agree about the more 'chemically' ones being better though. Nature Baby wipes are definitely the worst for cleaning.

Makes me glad I use washable wipes for the bottoms though

I clean my sofa's with baby wipes too. And the radiators, and the milk stains on my wood floors, and my door frames, ds1's toys........etc etc

Baby wipes will even remove gloss paint from your hands

God I thought it was just me with this problem!

A few goes with Johnsons baby wipes worked for me too.

Damp cloth worked for bedside table, nursing chair, chest of drawers etc...

baby wipes always baby wipes

FlappytheBat · 09/05/2009 00:01

Definitely Johnson's baby wipes, don't try them on suede cushions though, they went a bit funny after that!
