Morning

It is raining here, has been all night

vacuuming mission

babysteps the 15 min rule You can do anything in 15 mins.

add an inspirational page to your control journal Any phrases or things that really inspire you.

So our routines should be a little like

Morning Routine

  • Get up and get dressed
  • Looking at your posted reminders
  • Reading 2 minutes of reminders
  • Recognizing the negative voices and changing them
  • Put out your Hot Spots for 2 minutes
  • 5 Minute Room Rescue (pick any room in the house) set your timer and go!
-15 Minutes Decluttering each day.

Before Bed Routine

  • Keep your sink shining
  • Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
  • Put out your Hot Spot

My Inspiration thought for today is:

I bless my home with love, I put love in every corner and my home and family lovingly respond with warmth and comfort. I am at peace - My home is a peaceful haven

gibbberish · 28/04/2009 09:49

Morning ladies - I have returned

Had a lovely romantic time on the Isle of Man - it is very pretty and the weather was brill! Very expensive though yikes.

dh bought me Chanel perfume and a gorgeous DKNY silver watch with diamonds Told me if I lose it he will divorce me lol

Welcome laura Nice to see you made it over.

grouchy sorry to hear about your cat. Always a difficult decision to make but you def made the right one x

prof Glad the party went well

ehm you HAVE been busy with all that decluttering Are inspiring me to clear out under the stairs...

Am leaving in half an hour to take dd1 to hospital for follow up appt with consultant. All looks ok so should be fine. dd1 is back to usual teen stroppiness so is obviously well on the mend!

Need to do detailed clean in living room and catch up on washing today. BBL x

laurasmiles · 28/04/2009 10:02

Morning -
and thanks for all the welcomes.
Was it your birthday gibberish? Your weekend sounds fab!

My list for this morning/afternoon:
Make beds
Clear bedrooms
Put out hot spot of towel and sheets pile!!
Mops bathroom floors
Put wash on and fold clothes and put away
Decluttering 2 x 15 mins in front room
Clear up after breakfast
Get dinner sorted - shop, etc.
DS - nursery
DD - dancing class
Clean out cat tray and wash bowls etc.

I am trying to remember that I can't do it all at one but that every positive action makes a difference.

swanriver · 28/04/2009 10:04

Well today we had more screaming fits from dd, which was threatening to cause another major family row, but we managed to turn tears to smiles by packing the lunchbox together! Clingfilm mends every broken heart!

d2s reading book 3 pages
dd homework made a start on a martian
Kids to school happily

Poor Ellie - what a horrible outburst for her, EHM, hope teacher calms little boy down today.

I find that I get cross very quickly about mess, (last night I felt in tears about hama beads and couscous scout drop off etc very silly really, and I think it is because house is messy to start with and "now I've really failed and chaos is descending".

I was going to say my inspiration is "I will lift mine eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help", but I realise that is about getting out of the house.
So my inspiration will have to be
"I share my house with my children and my husband and I enjoy sharing it"

swanriver · 28/04/2009 10:07

x posts everyone, took me a long time to be inspired!
Hello Gibberish
Laura - well done on decluttering and small positive actions

Tortoise · 28/04/2009 10:28

Morning all.
Happy birthday to Bianca's DD.

I should be doing something useful! Lack of motivation today.

Have some Ebay bits ending tonight. Not many bids.

Stripped DD2's wet bed. Sheets and duvet in WM.
Put some washing out while it is sunny. Heavy showers forecast though. DD2's bedding may have to be tumbled.

Will find something to do in a minute!

Tortoise · 28/04/2009 10:56

Of all the jobs i could do, i chose to poop scoop the front garden where the dog goes.

Maybe i should clean the bathroom next?

Ludaloo · 28/04/2009 10:58

Hi all ...hello gibberish Have you had a birthday?

Happy Birthday Bianca's DD

Tort...bad luck on the bidding sorry you didn't get it.

Well I have oodles of housework to do today...

Arrrrggghhhhhhh.....

Sorry just had to chase the cat out...she was hacking up a hair ball! Nice!!

I have mainly washing..ironing and putting away to do.
Also have to vac and dust and attempt to clear out the shed not sure about that one though.

I also have to wait in for the electric company to come and change our meter. They are upgrading us to a key rather than cards apparently.

Well I'm off to put some socks on as my feet are absolutely freezing!

Tortoise · 28/04/2009 11:43

Luda I think i knew deep down yesterday that i wouldn't get it. Eww to hairball!

Bathroom is now clean inc toilet!!
Bedding has finished washing. Can see clouds coming so not sure if it is worth putting out or not!

TheMadHouse · 28/04/2009 11:44

Bedding out on the line. Fingers crossed no rain for a bit longer!
Also swept kitchen floor. Needs cleaning but will leave that until after kids are in bed.

scattyspice · 28/04/2009 12:43

Hi all - busy bees!

Gibber - weekend sounds fantastic .

To do:
laundry
finish house bleugh
wash car seat cover
ds to gymnastics
buy bread/milk/aniv card for dh.

BBlater.

gibbberish · 28/04/2009 12:51

Thanks tmh Really enjoyed the break. dd1's appt went well too - given the all clear by the consultant so that is that for the time being. Just to wait and see how she develops and if she feels she needs prosthesis and/or restructuring then we are to contact him. She is fine though which is great.

Hi swan I feel the same way as you do about mess. I get extremely agitated and irritable if I feel things are getting out of control and can't cope with anything else happening at the same time. Is essential for my sanity (what's left of it) that I keep on top of things.

laura and luda was our anniversary - 17 yrs - so went away for a long weekend. Mum and dad looked after the girls which was brill - really needed the break!

Just making dinner then will start the washing.

gibbberish · 28/04/2009 12:52

Hi scatty Is it your anniversary too?

afternoon all just a quick drop in to say hi

swanriver · 28/04/2009 13:42

And Luda didn't your other lo have mumps already last year?
Hello Tortoise and TPT
Wednesday eve is my nadir scoutwise and energywise. I dread it, and need to turn it round in my head as a fun evening

Trying to keep cooking here, and get ahead of the game.

Garden is looking lovely! Bluebells, and potatoes showing leaves!

gibbberish · 28/04/2009 13:45

Hi wolf

prof who has mumps?

Dinner finished. Off to load d/w then hoover and dust. Must do online shop this afternoon too then pop round to parents with pressie to say thanks for having the kids for the weekend.

Ludaloo · 28/04/2009 13:47

Gibberish well done on 17 years! It is our 10th wedding ann. next week...time flies!

scatty happy anniversary to you too

TPT indeed You kind of expect these immunisations to work don't you...can't help feeling they go through the stress of the jabs for nothing really!
Having said that, my 3 really tend to get EVERYTHING! I'm absolutely dreading the news every time I turn it on....with this deadly flu virus that is sweeping the states etc. and now a confirmed case in the UK I will have to keep my 3 locked up!

Well I have completely tidied our bedroom from top to bottom...
Folded a heap of washing and put it away
Hung 2 more loads out on the airers
Vacced upstairs
Had the Meter changed
Instructed the girls to tidy their room but they seem to have dodged that and got their Littlest Petshop stuff out instead
Changed the D/W over
Tidied the bathroom toys away...that had made their way to the computer room...and the bookshelf in the hall!
Lots still left to do (i.e the whole of downstairs!)

Ludaloo · 28/04/2009 13:52

Sorry...cross posts...

swan my middle one (ds) had mumps just after xmas (i think...or maybe just before)
He had a long line of things...mumps, throat infection and then sickness and diorreah

My DD1 then got it over the Easter hols so hasn't actually been back to school yet!
DD2 woke up yesterday morning with a high temp and sore throat and swollen glands. She only seems to have one side swollen as of yet.
Both are otherwise quite well apart from the abnormal necks! They are playing/bickering/whining as normal! lol

gibbberish · 28/04/2009 13:52

Thanks luda

Have all 3 got the mumps? Poor them and you! Had the mumps when I was young - was awful. It's not something you hear about much these days - is it on the rise again?

gibbberish · 28/04/2009 13:53

Oh and happy anniversary to you too Funny we all got married within weeks of each other!

Ludaloo · 28/04/2009 13:56

Ooooh swan when did you plant your potatoes? Mine aren't showing anything yet! My onions aren't either.
