I think is jolly good value - or am I deluding myself?

we've just been to the local farmshop to stock up. I bought:

2 fresh loaves of crusty bread
12 free range eggs
8 chicken breasts
24 lincolnshire sausages
1 kilo leg of lamb
1.2 kilo topside
2 kilo of mince
1 bag of ready roasted potatoes (enough for 4 for when i'm lazy)
8 ready made medium sized yorkshire puddings (ditto)
1 steak pie for 2
1 ready made beef casserole for two
6 sausage rolls (made on premises)
4 slices of nice ham
pot of potato salad
4 onions
4 peppers
6 bananas
3 apples
3 satusams
1 pear
1 bunch spring onion
bag of tomatoes
1.5 kilo of carrots
head of broccoli
8 ready to bake pain au chocolat
3 home made pieces of caramel shortbread
4 pints of milk
5 kilo of potatoes
a bag of salad leaves
100g coleslaw
3 leeks

Total spend £117 - not one penny of which goes into the pockets of tescos etc. I feel pretty good about this. (ok smug)

That doesn't sound bad. I love shopping at my local farm shop, nice food + smugness + not a bad bill =

The kids don't even have to come in - they just stay outside playing on the (defunct) tractor and looking at bunnys, pigs, lambs and a pony!

'Ready made beef casserole?' I make my own.

So do I - just don't want to do so all the time! This feels so much better than buying supermarket ready stuff.
