Morning all

galen hope you have a good time in the sun

Wolf you have possibly encountered new bugs and new people this week, so take things easy - kind of like when DS1 started preschool he picked up everything going

Wendy Hope the move goes OK

Well I have had a lie in thanks to my wonderful DH.

DS1 is off to football in 30 mins, so me and DS2 are going to chill

grouchyoscar · 25/04/2009 11:08

Book Marking for later. I will catch up with the thread. Sorry I wasn't about yesterday, it was a very busy and very awful day.

Many MN pots of tea and cakes to all

EHM · 25/04/2009 12:45

HI ALL galen Enjoy family fun in the sun
wendygood luck with move
mad glad you had nice long sleep.
wolf poor you not what you want in a new job.take care of you this weekend chucky Egg.
grouchy hope you are ok?

Bit tired today, one of our friends decided very late last night to text us numerous times, but didn't realise he was sending txts to house phone. so it kept ringing! I then called him & swore at him & called him a knob head & it took him 10 minutes of chatting with me & dh for him to realise he had sent messages to home phone instead of dh's mobile!
I have been to post office to post 5 items which sold on Ebay yesterday. Waiting for 3 more items to be collect hopefully this weekend.Fingers crossed that weather holds so we can go to car boot tomorrow.
Taking Ellie to craft time at local arts theatre, then there is a showing of WALL-E after words. so she is very excited.

Hope you all have a good day.x.x

Wolfcub · 25/04/2009 14:35

ds and me fed

spreadsheet made to record storecupboard/freezer contents

grouchyoscar · 25/04/2009 14:43

Hello again

Hi EHM I'm just feeling a little . Hope Ellie enjoys Wall-E. Ed adores it.

Yesterday afternoon I had to take one of our cats to be put to sleep. She was nearly 16, had an ear infection that just wouldn't clear up and a tumour on her head that just kept growing so it was the kindest thing really. Told Ed this morning and he was amazingly calm and grown up about it. Maisie is now in Moggy heaven with her mum.

DONE

Hang washing out
Water plants
Plant potatoes
Breakfast
Load DW and run
Shower me
Shower Ed
Vac front room
Roll Ed up in the carpet (His OT suggested it as an exercise to strengthen his core muscles. He has to slide out of it without using his arms or legs!)
Sweep front room floor
Chalk pictures on the floor (OT idea again, much fun)
Scrub the front room floor (ewwwh, grotty filthy, the waste water was shockingly embarrasing)

Just waiting for the floor to dry then I can move the furniture back

It's nice and sunny here but as soon as the sun goes it's - brrrrr again

swanriver · 25/04/2009 14:53

Cleopatra Ed!
Done lots of scootering and music this morning.
Taken some more clothes to recycling.
Long chat with neighbour who is feeling recession

Dd now melting down, may have to take her out again to defuse, she says ds2 keeps licking her favourite teeshirt. I think B&Q and turf buying is only answer.

Sounds like a horrible day yest Grouchy, poor you

swanriver · 25/04/2009 18:27

No housework achieved today at all, my interest in it is declining rapidly.
Dcs and dh are watching North by Northwest.
We have been been to B&Q, park. Various squabbles between dtwns but otherwise a nice snny day, dh has a work hangover and is considerably subdued.

Now to make some scrambled egg and toast.
BOUGHT some playsand for sandpit. Too heavy.
and a strimmer for the lawn edges, think dh may enjoy that.
Hope you were able to collapse Wolf, or that dp returned and took ds away for a bit.
EHM, I love the Peter Gabriel song at end of Wall-e and the credits with them working hard re-building planet and tidying up!

EHM · 25/04/2009 19:49

grouchy poor you for you too it is horrible when you loose a pet.{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}Ellie adored film too, asking lots of questions. 'why do we live on earth mummy?' God help me she not 3 until next month.
swan music was great in film.hope you have relaxing night. Licking fav tshirt did make me giggle sorry
why is play sand so heavy?
wolf hope you go to bed as soon as dp gets home Mrs.

Wall-E was fantastic, very sweet relationship between the robots. Ellie wants Wall-E & Eve to be her friends

Have a great evening ladies.

Wolfcub · 25/04/2009 20:25

Morning everyone I have missed.

I have been baking this morning with DS2 - Choc mini muffins, Lemon cup cakes and raisen and oat cookies. Just sent DH and DS2 out for the papers and more icing sugar.

laurasmiles · 26/04/2009 12:11

Hello all,

I hope you don't mind me joining you as I am about to get stuck into the FLY routine.

I did try a few babysteps a while back but we were having building work done and it was impossible. So, now calm is restored (eight month's later!) and I'm ready for the challenge. I really need to focus and get these routines licked, as at heart I'm a real slob!

I can see from a glance that you are all fairly regular posters and in touch with eachother's stories. I'm afraid it will take me a while to get into it all so I might lurk a lot!! And my posts will be fairly boring and to the point as I hope to use this thread as motivation to stay on track. Hope that's okay????

Thanks for the recommendation TMH I shall jump right in with the babysteps where you are.

swanriver · 26/04/2009 13:31

Hello and welcome Laurasmiles,

Dh has taken dcs off on an expedition. So am now properly setting to work on various tasks.

Stuffed peppers
tomato sauce
pizza dough
soup
buy more compost
planting
sweeping paths
our bedroom hoovering
clean kitchen windows

bbl when finished

galen · 26/04/2009 13:34

Quick hello all
laura welcome - this is a GREAT thread - really helps to keep you and track, and wonderful friends too - good for chat and support on anything FLY related or not!

EHM hope car boot went well
swan sounds like you got lots done yest eve - well odne
mad enjoy farm and walk
Wolf yay for sweet DP!

So far have been to Church, and popped into Morrisons and got a load of reduced fruit and veg bargains! (stalking reduced tables is my new obsession LOL)
Not much else achieved though.
Feeling decidedly "bleugh" today. All Dc seem to be winding me up by doing nothing in particular so have concluded I NEED some child free time so am sending DH out to the playground with all DC for a bit so I can have a break!
Upstairs of house is in a major mess , and there are loads of other things I should do BUT I am going to make myself have a break as I know I need to , and will start afresh tomorrow I think!

Have lamb casserole (part 2!) defrosting for tea - although I know what you mean about lamb mad - dont normally buy it but had it for easter

So now going to chill for a bit...take deep breaths and maybe plan a bit for next week!
BBL ladies

Hello laurasmiles.

Hi all. Just done some gardening but mnow i'm tired and its very hot outside so thought i'd come in for a bit.

Been a busy weekend and house is a bit of a mess but we are keeping kitchen tidy which is good.Kids v happy at the moment which is even better.

EHM · 26/04/2009 14:46

Afternoon Ladies

Well car boot was very disappointing people very rude & wanting items for 20/30p. We would rather give to the charity shop then give to people who rather rudely telling you not prepared to pay £1 for a next summer dress which cost £12 & like new. Maybe I miss understood what people expected. I asked my mum what she would pay for a 2nd hand paperback/hardback book before we went. she pays 99p for paperback in charity shop so we said 50p paperback & £1 for hardback cookery books. 1 man said he wouldn't pay more than 15p for a paperback. so our local hospice charity shop will receive lots lovely items tomorrow. We made £41 in total which was better than nothing but it was the rudeness of people that disappointed me. Met one of Ellie PS teachers & she agreed not to give things away for next to nothing. She wasn't on her stall.Although 1 lovely lady was over joyed with the clothes she bought for her baby girl & a nappy wrapper for £2 with cartridges. Sorry for ramble but can't believe rudeness of people.I am happy with my £41 for the Disney fund

EV glad you are enjoying sunshine
madhope you have nice day out
galenenjoy your break.dh has just taken dd to playground so I can organise the stuff we have left over from boot sale & washing etc.
wolf glad you had some rest & breakfast in bed.
Swan*I love lamb
laurasmile welcome

Right off to get sorted.

swanriver · 26/04/2009 15:11

I find that at school fete fundraising, EHM, people are extraordinarily mean about s/h books and bric a brac on sale, sometimes won't even part with 20p to help raise money for school to buy a newish book, yet then go off and buy coke for kids for £1 a throw (luckily also at a school booth) Do you think perhaps people expect to haggle over things at carboot sales?

Sorry they were so meanspirited but still £41 good to add to fund.

Made scones
pizza dough
and stuffing peppers now...

swanriver · 26/04/2009 15:13

a Coke

grouchyoscar · 26/04/2009 17:12

With people that mean spirited I wouldn't be suprised at coke (Grouchy dons flameproof hat and ducks)

EHM People do make me despair at times, they really do. Good on your £41 tho. Thanks about Maisie BTW

Wolf and Mad Thanks about the cat too. We'd had her since she was born so it was hard and knowing I was taking her on a pre-planned final journey made me feel so wrong. She's out of her pain and discomfort now so it's for the best TBH.

Hello to Swan and Galen Hope you've had good days

Waves to Wendy Hope you found the kettle straight away

Welcome to Laura It's great here.

Rubbish night's sleep last night and Ed woke we up with a cheery kiss and 'Good morning Mummykins' at 7:30 (very bleary 'huh, what!' from said Mummykins)

DONE

Hmm, Autopilot stumbling around but washing got pegged out, plants watered, washed, meds swallowed, dressed, fed. went to the shop to buy DH's bus pass for work. Uniform for tomorrow, sports kit sorted, name tapes stitched in.

Then I went back to bed while the Grand Prix was on

Back up, play on Wii with Ed (he's given my Mii a haircut!) Make lunch boxes for morning and crumble topping, water plants, transplant the spinach, sow more lettuce, check bus timetables for morning, check mails etc.
