Just moved in - cleaning tips please :-)

Hi my friend is moving into her new home sunday and is cleanig today and tomorrow, it needs a clean. Its not really bad but the previous people did not clean before they left :-(

Could you lets us know some good cleaning tips please ?

The taps are all dull and the white seal around the bath, well around the tap 1/2 of the bath, its not white anymore - what can i use?

The taps are probably dull due to using abrasive cleaning products, stardrops and hot water and a good scrub may help.

The sealant may be irreparably stained but cotton wool soaked in cleaning solution plonked on overnight may help.
