is there any way of cleaning up white plastic things when they get stained orange by tomatoes/turmeric?

Oh, this must be my most mundane post ever, but it's something I'd love to know. The balde from my food processor and now the DCs new cow cups have goen a weird pinky orange colour from being in the washing up bowl with tomatoey water.

Is there anything I can do to get them white again, it really bugs me.

Leave it on the windowsill in the sun

Or bleach it

apparently leaving it in water with a couple of denture tablets works

many thanks - will try them all.

Put a few spoonfuls of bicarborate of soda and add boiling water. leave to soak for a couple of hours and should come up clean.
