No-scrub pyrex cleaning solution?

senseandirritability · 22/04/2009 14:36

Help! I have three Pyrex baking dishes (two real Pyrex, one Ikea cheapie version) which look completely manky, being covered by baked/burnt on grease from the oven. However much I scrub, I can't get it all off. Is there anything that will strip it off? I bought the damn things because I thought they were more easily cleaned...

wire wool and a sharp knife? maybe you could use some sort of oven cleaner

Thanks SEA, I am thinking oven cleaner might be the way to go...

i use soda crysatls

Hi SuziSeis, when you say soda crystals, do you mean soak in them diluted with water or scrub with them? I've not used them before...

Oooh, that's a good trick nannyL. I might try that...
