Roman Blinds vs Curtains?

We have recently had a conservatory/kitchen extension built and it has one actual conservatory wall (iyswim?) which has 2 small (narrow) windows and double patio doors. I thought because of the doors that curtains would be needed but a friend has suggested roman blinds. I really like the look of blinds but was unsure on how it would work with the doors. I was wondering if anyone could let me know what they have got and why. Thanks very much (sorry it's such a boring question )

YOu don't mean roman blinds on the doors do you? Just the windows?

This is the thing, i think i would need curtains at the doors wouldn't i? The blinds would be ok when pulled up but wouldn't sit right when down would they. ruby does that work using both?

I'm about to have roman blinds on the windows and vertical blinds on the patio doors.
