Wicker baskets

Hi,

Just wondering if someone knows the answer to this one:

I have an old wicker basket, but it's been out in my parents garden shed for many years and is a bit battered and has a few pieces of wicker missing... It's still in tact and strong enough, it just needs a little TLC.

Is it possible to repair? I'm guessing it's not possible to replace the wicker, but just wondering if there is anything I can do to salvage it... It would be a perfect toy boy for DS!!

thanks!

Is it dry and clean?

Line it with some thickish material? Watch out for lose wicker pieces, they can be quite sharp..

Yes, it's dry and clean(ish!)

I could line the inside... that's a great idea, but there are some missing wicker bits of the outside too... Not sure if it's a great idea to use it as a toy box!!

thanks!
